Contamination battery on hunks with context: enough sample, still flat

Job 143956, same windows and checkpoints as 143898, scoring each hunk with its three context lines either side. datasets/results/contamination-openstack-with_context.json.

examples, post / pre changes gap 95% bootstrap, by change
Min-K%++, bare hunks (143898) 35 / 28 22 / 18 +0.221 [-0.052, +0.524]
Min-K%++, with context 161 / 116 85 / 57 -0.058 [-0.200, +0.084]
Min-K%, with context 161 / 116 85 / 57 -0.216 [-0.661, +0.225]
guided completion, edit similarity 55 / 46 -0.007 [-0.118, +0.085]

Guided completion reproduced 0 of 55 post-cutoff hunks and 1 of 46 control hunks verbatim; mean edit similarity 0.380 against 0.387.

Reading. Context lifted the scored sample from about 20% of each deduplicated month to 94% (161 of 172) and 87% (116 of 133), and halved the Min-K%++ interval. The small-sample lean toward "post-cutoff looks more familiar" is gone. No method separates October 2024 from January 2024. As pre-committed, that is ambiguous: no exposure to this Gerrit data, or probes that cannot see it. It is not a clean bill.

For Stage 1. Score hunks with context; bare hunks leave too few examples to read. Guided completion, verbatim or by edit similarity, shows no discrimination on this corpus and should be reported as a null instrument or replaced, decided before confirmatory data exists.
