Wikimedia's corpus v3 frozen; the dataset's funnel published

The 2026-10-01 entry calls the OpenStack and Wikimedia v3 corpora frozen, but only OpenStack's copy (corpus-v3/openstack on TIGRIS) carried the freeze manifest and splits; Wikimedia's held its raw, built and refined months alone. No result depends on it, since every partition job deduplicates the organization itself (placebo_corpus.py --dedup-org). The dedup, split, freeze and verify stages were run on a copy of corpus-v3/wikimedia at 2dad2a1: they keep 5,513 of 5,699 refined examples (117 exact copies and 69 near duplicates removed), split as 582 pilot, 4,184 train and 747 development, which is window-report-wikimedia-v3.json exactly, and verify passes. The manifest and splits were added to corpus-v3/wikimedia beside the files already there, byte for byte.

scripts/dataset_funnel.py reads each frozen manifest and writes what every filtering rule removed, in pipeline order and in each row's unit (changes, comments, hunks or examples), over the months the build read, with each manifest's digest (dataset-funnel.json); the new docs page dataset.md states the rules and shows that table, regenerated from the artifact and held to it by a test. Wikimedia's build counted no comment from an account tagged as a bot (its bots post change-level messages), and OpenStack's months were collected before ingestion kept the tag (2026-09-23), so the rule could not run there and its row reads not counted; the template rule, which found no bot comment in OpenStack's examples, carries the bot filter; Qt's bots comment inline under ordinary accounts, and there it is what removes them. Qt joins the funnel once its fetch under the 2026-10-15 grant is built.
