The label audit read on OpenStack's items alone¶
The audit sampled OpenStack and Qt alike, and the Stage 1 text quoted agreement pooled over all
383 items, so a published figure rested partly on Qt's review records, fetched before Qt granted
permission. scripts/label_audit_by_org.py reads the committed agreement report again on one
organization's items through the same function as the pooled reading
(label_audit_agreement.readings), so every pair is read: the five labels, valid against the
rest, outside names, the model raters on the human's items, the human pairs without the answers
reported as slips, and the halves of the human check. The report keys labels by example id in
sorted neutral-id order and slips by neutral id; the ids are rebuilt from that order, and the
whole pooled reading is recomputed from them and refused unless every pair reproduces the report
(all do, to 1e-12). Valid shares are the report's own per-organization rates.
On OpenStack's 191 items (label-audit-v2-openstack.json): rater A labels 82.7% valid,
95% Wilson interval [76.7%, 87.4%]; rater B 84.8% [79.0%, 89.2%]; the human 85.7% of 77
[76.2%, 91.8%]. The model raters agree on 86.4%, κ 0.533, AC1 0.853; the human agrees with A on
80.5% (κ 0.249, AC1 0.792; without the slipped answers κ 0.312 on 71) and with
B on 79.2% (κ 0.230, AC1 0.777; without them κ 0.191). On the 77 checked items the model
raters agree at κ 0.568, and the human's agreement with A reads κ 0.278 on the first half of the
check and 0.227 on the second. The pooled reading's conclusions hold on OpenStack alone:
same-family model raters agree with each other more than with the human, so the model labels
stand for the corpus's valid share, not for one example's label. The Stage 1 draft quotes these
figures from papers branch p4/panel-writing.
